Habersham Plantation

It was a beautiful day with constantly changing skies (what else is new) at Habersham.  Habersham is a plantation on the Broad River with a charming small town atmosphere.

Beaufort Open Land Trust Show at Widgeon Point

September 25th was the show to benefit the Beaufort Open Land Trust - Held at Widgeon Point, Lemon Island which was a former horse property, we had a great show.  A number of our artists painted on location while members and guests of the Land Trust viewed the exhibit.  Three paintings were sold and two of the paintings up for auction were sold.  This was such a wonderful venue that we are planning to do the show again next year.  I think will will try to do it in October when the it isn't quite so hot.

April 2009 Plein Air Competitio - Painting Bluffto

Our first plein air competition was a complete success.  Jack Morris of Morris and Whiteside was our judge and the best of show painting is shown here.  It is a view of the May River by Richard Coyne.

Palmetto Bluff Paint Out Palmetto Bluff Paint Out on the 9th was great - the morning started out very foggy but it slowly cleared.  These are just a few photos of the numberous vistas available to us.
Rose Dhu This is the beautiful marsh scene at Rose Dhu.  We are once again invited to the home of Fred and Helen Williams to paint their beautiful marsh.  Hopefully you will join us.
Jeni Feeser's Sunset Marsh So many things had to come together weather wise and it did - it was a perfect evening.  The only negative was the kamikaze gnats who committed mass suicide on our paintings.   There will be some more pictures to follow next week.
Moss Creek Painting Moss Creek Paint-out, the sky was the most amazing shade of cobalt blue.
Beaufort Paint Out at Gloria Dalvini's Home

It was chilly and windy but 5 of our members showed up to paint at this wonderful location.  Within a two block radius you have the most beautiful low country scenes.  Here are a few pictures from the event.
