October 19, 2011 Paint out at Broad Creek marina

We will be painting here on Wednesday. Come as early as you want. The venue offers quite a variety of scenes, marsh, boats, kayaks, quaint buildings and old oaks. They are very happy to have us there but we cannot block the docks. They need to be able to get their golf carts up and down them. I have included a few pictures. Take Marshland Road west to Simmons and turn left. Drive until you see a blue sign and turn right - go to the back parking lot. They do have bathrooms we can use. For those of you coming from off the island - take 278 onto the island and go to Mathews (a traffic light). Turn right and go to Marshland and turn right again. You will be driving a ways down Marshland - probably 2 miles (but I didn't check it out) and you will see a sign for Simmons on the right hand side and you will turn left and go toward Broad Creek. There may be a shorter way there but I am not aware of it. Keep my number handy - 216-225-8251

The fruit and vegetable stand on 278 just before you cross from the mainland to Pickney Island.  (Just west of Pickney Island)  It is on your right if you are traveling east and by a gas station.   Do not block their customer traffic.  I am optimistic about getting permission to paint here and will know this afternoon.  If for some reason they do not allow us to paint at that location I will notify everyone.  I will be there at 9 and we can paint all day.  Please keep my telephone number handy - 216-225-8251.
